Mr. Filipino, aka Ben my hubby, is handy with just about anything.
He’s a computer genius at work, and can come home and build a palette wood bench or a corn hole set in no time. He can also draw and paint like nobody’s business.
About a year ago he started wanting to learn anything and everything about stained glass, but never had the time to really get into it. So, a few weeks ago I made the time for him. I signed him up for a class at our local Hobby Lobby with Tammy O’Connor…and I’m so glad I did!!
She was the perfect instructor. She never missed a beat, and by the time we left Ben wanted to learn more and more about stained glass. He was the only one in the class that night so I got to hang out with them and take some pictures.

Let me tell you a little about Tammy. She’s an INCREDIBLE artist and a lovely person altogether. She made us feel right at home while Ben was working.
She graduated with a degree in Photography at The Art Institute of Atlanta but later found her place in stained glass and never looked back. She’s done work for churches, residences, and businesses in the U.S., Canada, and Germany.
On her website she says, “It’s my desire that my life’s work be an inspiration for the world to experience the joy and beauty of sunlight and color dancing together, to be quieted and calmed by it, to be still and know God.”
